Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to provide a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treating substance use disorders and supporting long-term recovery.

How does it work?

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) works by using FDA-approved medications to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, while counseling and behavioral therapies address the underlying causes of addiction, creating a holistic path to recovery.

Step 1

Medication Management

FDA-approved medications, such as methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone, are prescribed to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, and stabilize brain chemistry.

step 2

Therapeutic Support

Clients participate in counseling and behavioral therapies to address the root causes of addiction, develop coping skills, and build a foundation for lasting recovery.

step 3

Ongoing Monitoring & Adjustment

The treatment team regularly evaluates progress, adjusts medications as needed, and provides continuous support to ensure the client’s physical and emotional well-being throughout their recovery journey.

My Friend's House is a compassionate and inclusive treatment center offering personalized Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Outpatient (OP), Co-Occurring Therapy, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, dedicated to helping individuals overcome addiction and mental health challenges with accessible, evidence-based care.
